Erdenechimeg Ulziisuren, Founder & President
Erdenechimeg Ulziisuren is the CEO & Founder of Cognos International LLC – evaluation and research firm specialized in the fields of of socio-economy, market, agriculture, environment and health. Ms. Erdenechimeg has had the privilege of working as an evaluator for many of the UN agencies such as the UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA and as a researcher for the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, UNESCO as well as for government agencies including National Statistics Office and private sectors. Ms. Erdenechimeg is a PhD candidate in Demography from the National University of Mongolia, and holds MSc in Social Research Methods from the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom and MA in Population and Reproductive Health Research from Mahidol University in Thailand.

Mandal Urtnasan, Executive Director
Mandal is the seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in development and emergency programming. She has designed and led numerous projects focusing on poverty alleviation, rural development, good governance, child rights, civil society strengthening and rights of persons with disabilities. She held leadership positions at international and local CSOs and UN, and provided technical expertise to ADB. Mandal holds a Bachelor degree in Public Health from the Moscow Medical Academy and Master of Science degree in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics.

Darinchuluun Bazarvaani, Board Member
Mr. Darinchuluun has more than 30 years of experience working with the Government of Mongolia (GoM), Ministry of Finance (MoF), international organizations and many projects and programs on macroeconomics, national policy planning and development, public debit management, result-based monitoring and evaluation. He has worked to ensure implementation and evaluation of projects aimed at strengthening good governance, ensuring sustainable economic development, regulation development loans and grants, reducing and resolving government debt, cooperating with international organizations and foreign countries, protecting the rights of children with disabilities, and supporting civil society. Mr. Darinchuluun has worked as the Director of Debt Management Division at MoF, Director’s Advisor at ADB, GoM, World Bank and consultant at UN. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Economics from the Management Insititute in Moscow, Russia and a Masters in International Affairs, Economic Policy Management from Columbia University in New York.

Naranchimeg Baatar, Board Member
Mrs. Naranchimeg has had about 20 years of experience of working as a professor/researcher at the National University of Mongolia , as a researcher/national consultant for the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, as a researcher for many of the UN agencies such as the UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA as well as for government agencies including Ministry of Labour and Soical Protection (MoLSP), National Statistics Office and private sectors. Mrs. Naranchimeg is a PhD candidate in Demography from the Jilin University of China, and holds MA in Economic specialized by Demography from the National University of Mongolia.

Enkhgerel Enkhtuvshin, Board Member
Enkhgerel currently serves as the CEO of Golomt Foundation, a philanthropic organization to support and cultivate innovative and impactful initiatives that contribute towards building an inclusive and sustainable society. Previously, Enkhgerel served as a Director of Administration at Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia. In this capacity, she supported the organization’s mission to implement a USD350 million Compact with the US Government to improve potable and industrial water supply in Mongolia’s capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Prior to her work at MCA-Mongolia, Enkhgerel has garnered extensive experience in the public sector through her work at the Parliament of Mongolia and the Office of the President. From 2008-2009, she also worked as a Researcher at the Institute of Strategic Studies under the National Security Council of Mongolia. Enkhgerel holds an MBA from Tamkang University in Taipei and a BA from the Computer Sciences and Management School in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where she majored in International Business Administration. She is fluent in English and proficient in Chinese.

Gereltuya Altankhuyag, Board Member
Twenty two years full-time working experience with the National Statistical Office of Mongolia in the field of economic, demographic and social statistics. Six years research experience in applied quantitative and qualitative research in developed countries (Germany and Great Britain). More than 10 years consultancy experience in statistics in more than 10 developing countries on topics such as sampling methodologies, gender statistics, conducting household surveys and censuses, constructing poverty mapping, training to statisticians, assessment of SDG indicators and its mapping, and developing the overall statistical measurement systems etc. Expertise in sampling methodologies, poverty and gender statistics, population censuses, energy and environmental tax accounts.

Ganzorig Gonchigsumlaa, Board Member
Dr. Ganzorig Gonchigsumlaa is the Associate Professor at the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, School of Economics and Business, Mongolian University of Life Sciences (MULS), Mongolia. He completed bachelor and MBA degree programs in Economics at the MULS, M.Sc degree in the field of Environmental Economics at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, and Ph.D degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Goettingen, Germany.
Dr. Gonchigsumlaa has been working in the area of Environmental and Agricultural Economics since 2008 both in Mongolia and India, and conducted research and consultancies with UN agencies (including UNDP, FAO, UNITAR, UN Environment, UN-PAGE, UN-REDD, UN-PEI, World Bank) and Mongolian government organizations (including the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry-MOFALI, Ministry of Economic Development, and Ministry of Finance), and private sector.
In terms of evaluation experience, Dr. Gonchigsumlaa carried out Economic and Financial Analysis (EFA) or Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) three projects funded by the World Bank, of which two of them were in India (in Tamil Nadu and Bihar), and one in Mongolia. Furthermore, his team has conducted the external policy evaluation of two Mongolian policies approved by the Parliament of Mongolia including “Mongol Livestock” national programme and the “State Policy towards Herders”; funded by the MOFALI.
